Passionate about customer service, Katto Dickson is a father, a scholar, a tech entrepreneur and a Data Scientist. His data analytics journey began five years ago at Mcash, a Fintech offering mobile financial services for everybody. Dickson had an exciting opportunity last year to train in advanced data analytics tools and data science project implementation at Tech Mahindra's Infocity in Hyderabad, India and took an action learning data science project in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He is currently a Data Scientist at Stanbic Bank with competences in R programming language, SQL and data Visualisation using QlikView, Power BI, Jasper Reports and grafana. Dickson has worked on a number of predictive models including customer churn, cross selling, customer segmentation and customer acquisition models. Away from work, Dickson is doing a Msc in information Systems at Makerere University, writes innovative business concepts and is about to launch BookPay, an end-to-end mobile, web and desktop fleet management and booking platform for buses. BookPay was among the finalists in last year’s Uganda Start-up Cup competition.
