He is the Business Intelligence Manager at Stanbic Bank Zambia, responsible for performance management, pricing and analytics. Additionally, he manages budgeting, scorecards, revenue assurance and provides support for product development, channel and sales analytics, and customer segmentation. He is an ardent supporter of financial inclusion and has contributed towards development of banking for women and digital banking.

Prior to joining Stanbic Bank in 2016, Kateula spent close to 6 years at Standard Chartered, were he was responsible for Data Management and Analytics. Kateula has also worked as a software developer for the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded project called SmartCare. At SmartCare, he was instrumental in the design of inclusive medical records management modules for the management of outpatients. He has also done research in mining - looking at improving energy efficiency in mineral processing. Kateula holds an MSc in Computational Modelling (Chemical Engineering) and a BSc in Computer Science.
