Is Derby a rough place?

According to data, more crimes were committed in or near Victoria Street than any other street in the city between September 2017 and August 2018, with 292 crimes reported in or around Victoria Street between September 2017 and August 2018. It was also the most violent or sexually charged street, with 56 such offenses. Violence against women is still common here: eight of the nine rapes reported in Derby between January 2016 and December 2018 occurred in or near Victoria Street.

Crime rates are high in and around Victoria Street because it has many overcrowded housing estates and little access to services such as shops and schools. There are several large pubs in the area where people can go after being out drinking - this may help cause crime by giving offenders an opportunity to be away from their homes/cars unlocked, etc - and some residents feel unsafe walking home late at night.

Derby has been ranked the most dangerous city to live in by 24 Hours News Channel every year since they started doing so in 2012. The city's crime rate has increased since 2004, when there were only three murders recorded. There have been more than 70 homicides in Derbyshire since 1603 when the first record of such events was kept.

The murder rate is high relative to other cities its size. It is estimated that there are about 15 murders per 100,000 people in Derby, while the national average is 36 per 100,000 people.

Is Dalston rough?

Dalston No. 2 Dalston was Hackney's second most hazardous neighborhood, with 2,286 offenses. Throughout the year, police documented a stunning amount of thefts and processed 1,068 cases. There were also 191 robberies and 21 rapes reported in 2002.

People often describe Dalston as being on the edge of London but not in it. This refers to the fact that although you can reach Dalston by tube or bus, it is not really part of London's city center. It is more of a district of London than a suburb.

The main industry in Dalston is still music retail. However, there are also many small businesses in the area who sell clothes, accessories, and electronics. There are also several restaurants in Dalston where you can taste British cuisine. Or you can go for Indian or Chinese dishes if you want something different from home cooking.

Dalston has a large Bangladeshi community. There are also many Koreans living in the area. In addition, there are people from India, Pakistan, and Africa who work in the retail industry in Dalston.

There are several public parks in Dalston. You will most likely see children playing football in the streets on weekends. But apart from that, the area is quiet and peaceful.

Is Allenton Derby rough?

Normanton, Pear Tree, Allenton (including Osmaston), and the Stockbrook Street neighborhood are bad (rough neighbourhoods with higher crime rates and extremely low average housing values). Mediocre (still a tragedy, some portions are horrible, but some are good)-Sinfin, Sunnyhill, Mackworth, Chaddesden, Alvaston. Good (very safe and secure) - Bircotes, Tang Hall.

Allenton is unique among these towns because of its large-scale development project after World War II. The area was rebuilt with modern houses, shops, offices, etc. And many of them have been recently refurbished or restored. But most of them are now occupied by retired people with no interest in living like they used to (or visiting) due to their expensive prices. There are also few students at Allenton School because it's too far from town and there are better options nearby. The school is one of the worst in the county with lots of violence and crime problems.

People often say that Allenton is similar to a city center so should be visited only for shopping reasons. This is not true though. There are no major stores at Allenton so you can't buy anything here. It's more of a community where everyone knows each other and helps out if you need help. Or sometimes people come to drink at the pub!

Crime is a big problem in Allenton.
